Koh Rok
Considered a secluded paradise, Koh Rok Nai and Koh Rok Nok is known to have some of the prettiest beaches in Thailand. The islands derived its name from its early inhabitants, a flying version of the squirrel. These mammals are difficult to find these days as a relative of the Komodo Dragon also shares the island.

The pair of islands differ in name as "Nai" means Inner and "Nok" means Outer. The white sandy beaches have been formed from crushed coral that have washed ashore. The islands, separated by a narrow 100 meter long channel, possess a wide variety of sceneries ranging from dense forest, multiple diving sites, a waterfall, and steep rock facings

Located about 30 kilometers south of Koh Lanta, the Koh Rok islands are relatively undisturbed by the affects of man and commericalism. There are no inhabitants on the islands, aside from those occupying the National Park Ranger Station.

Koh Rok is perfect for snorkeling and just plain relaxing as the islands are secluded and a bit of a distance awake. This isolation insure peace & quiet, but a pure and beautiful environment.
